My first official Pinterest project!

We've all seen these projects on Pinterest done a million times over. And why not?! They're such a nice touch to any space.

This is my version:

The quality in the photo is obviously nothing great, but we're not here for that! Now, I know mine isn't nearly as cute as the one featured in the link above, but I used what I had!

This cost me pretty much nothing. The frame had an old family photo in it that my mom and sister wanted to just throw out. But I insisted on taking it! I'm glad I did. Hopefully they'll see that my collection of odds, ends, and "do you really need all of this?" really does pay off! I bought the yarn way earlier in the year to cut glass (a post that will come later on in life), the clothespins are from the Dollar Tree that I bought forever ago, and the photos were leftover prints from a scrapbook I made of Rob and I for our engagement party.

So let's say this cost me $0.50 to make? That sounds about right.

I have it hung over our couch and it looks great. I'll be doing some more things around it so it's not the only thing on the wall. The photos are 4x6, if that helps to give an idea of how big the frame is (since I don't know the measurements).

I hot glued all the yarn to the inner sides and am pleased that it is not noticeable at all. It's really not a pretty sight from the back! It only took me about an hour (to allow room for distractions) to put together so I'll definitely be doing more for gifts!

Maybe I'll spray paint the clothespins a gold-ish color to better accent the frame...hmm....

XOXO
